Matt Xie

Bio

Matt is a Vice President on the Asia team and joined the firm in 2020. Prior to joining OrbiMed, he worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Goldman Sachs, specializing in the healthcare sector. He was involved in various aspects of investment banking, including IPOs, follow-on offerings, M&A, out-licensing deals, and block trades. Matt received a BMed degree in Clinical Medicine from Peking University Health Science Center and was trained at Peking University First Hospital for two years. Matt also obtained an MFin degree in Finance from Peking University. Outside of the office, Matt can be found bouldering, on his way to bouldering, or introducing his friends to bouldering.
