Leo Ma

Bio

Leo is a Senior Associate and joined the Private Equity team in 2022. Prior to joining OrbiMed, Leo worked on the biotech equity research team at Jefferies. Previously, he was a Senior Associate covering biotech at Wolfe Research. Leo obtained a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Yale University where his research focused on the molecular mechanism of fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFR) of activation. He received a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Zhejiang University in China. Outside work, Leo enjoys baking and hiking. Leo won the 2022 OrbiMed Bake-Off with his chili chocolate cake.
