Alexander M. Cooper

Bio

Alex joined OrbiMed in 2010 as the General Counsel and also served as the Chief Compliance Officer until 2016. He previously worked at Goldman Sachs in the Asset Management and Corporate Governance legal groups. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Alex was an attorney at Davis Polk & Wardwell in the Investment Management Group and Litigation Department and clerked for the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Alex received his J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was an Essays Editor of the Yale Law Journal, as well as an M.Phil. from Oxford University and an A.B. from Brown University. Outside the office, Alex enjoys skiing, podcasts, and deep-dish pizza.
