Richard D. Klemm, Ph.D., CFA, joined OrbiMed in 2000 as a public biotechnology company analyst. He completed a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in molecular biology in 2000. Dr. Klemm has published scientific articles in the fields of DNA replication and transcription. He received a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley in 1994 with majors in molecular and cell biology and economics.
Geoffrey C. Hsu, CFA, joined OrbiMed in 2002 as a biotechnology analyst. Prior to joining OrbiMed, he worked as a financial analyst in the healthcare investment banking group at Lehman Brothers and served as Manager of Business Development at Veritas Medicine. Mr. Hsu received his A.B. degree summa cum laude from Harvard University and holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Prior to business school, he spent two years studying medicine at Harvard Medical School.
Trevor M. Polischuk, Ph.D., joined OrbiMed in 2003 as analyst covering the major global pharmaceutical industry. Previously, he worked at Lehman Brothers as a Senior Research Analyst covering the U.S. pharmaceutical industry. Dr. Polischuk began his career at Warner Lambert as a member of the Pharmaceutical Global Marketing Planning team. In this role, he coordinated marketing activities for the second generation gabapentinoid product, Pregabalin. Dr. Polischuk holds a Doctorate in Neuropharmacology & Gross Human Anatomy from Queen's University and an MBA from Queen's University.
C. Scotland Stevens, joined OrbiMed in 2005 as an equity derivatives trader and strategist. Mr. Stevens was previously a Vice President at Goldman, Sachs & Co., responsible for stock and derivatives trading for healthcare hedge fund investors globally. He received an M.B.A. in Finance and Healthcare from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to business school, Mr. Stevens worked for the Investment Banking Group at Wachovia Securities, Inc. and for Pfizer, Inc. He has a B.S. in Business Administration and chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Jeffrey R. Comisarow, M.D., joined OrbiMed in 2006 as a biotechnology analyst. Prior to joining OrbiMed, he worked at Goldman, Sachs & Co. as an analyst covering the biotechnology sector. Prior to his tenure at Goldman Sachs, he was an associate in the healthcare investment banking group of SalomonSmithBarney (Citigroup). William F. Sawyer, joined OrbiMed in 2007 as a specialty pharmaceutical analyst. Prior to joining OrbiMed, he worked at Leerink Swann and Company as a senior analyst covering the specialty pharmaceutical sector. Prior to his tenure at Leerink Swann, he worked as an associate on the specialty pharmaceutical research teams of Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers. Mr. Sawyer received his B.S. Pharmacy degree from Rutgers University and his M.B.A. from New York University.
Kuhn Tsai, M.D., joined OrbiMed in 2008 as a Medical Device Analyst. Prior to joining OrbiMed, he worked at Eos Partners as a Healthcare Analyst/Junior Portfolio Manager. He previously researched the healthcare sector with the Galleon Group and Goldman Sachs. Dr. Tsai received his M.D. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Chicago and his B.A. from Harvard University.
Andrew P. Kanarek, CFA, joined Mehta and Isaly in 1993 as an equity trader. Mr. Kanarek completed a B.A. in Chemistry from New York University and a B.A. in Chemical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.
Jason A. Kahn, joined OrbiMed in 1999 as an equity trader. Mr. Kahn was previously a research associate at National Securities Corporation and Dirks & Company. From 1993 to 1997, he worked as a research scientist in immunology and gene therapy at New York University, Cornell University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Mr. Kahn received his B.S. in Zoology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Kevin P. Olsen, joined OrbiMed in 2000 to cover equity trading. Kevin completed a B.S. in Finance and Marketing from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
