Samuel D. Isaly is a founder and the Managing Partner of OrbiMed Advisors. Mr. Isaly is one of the world's most recognized healthcare fund managers and has been active in global healthcare investing and analysis since 1968 when he joined Chase Manhattan Bank in New York. During his career, Mr. Isaly has been a pharmaceutical analyst with Chase Manhattan Bank, Merrill Lynch, Legg Mason, SoGen Swiss International, Gramercy Associates and S.G. Warburg. Mr. Isaly launched OrbiMed's asset management business in 1989. Mr. Isaly has a B.A. in Economics from Princeton University and a M. Sc. (Econ.) from The London School of Economics.

Sven H. Borho, CFA, is a founding General Partner of OrbiMed. Mr. Borho is a portfolio manager for OrbiMed's public equity funds and he heads the firm's trading efforts. He started his career in 1991 when he joined Mehta and Isaly as a Senior Analyst covering European pharmaceutical firms and biotechnology companies worldwide. In 1993, Mr. Borho became portfolio manager to investment funds under management. Mr. Borho studied business administration at Bayreuth University in Germany and received a M. Sc. (Econ.) from The London School of Economics; he is a citizen of both Germany and Sweden.

Carl L. Gordon, Ph.D., CFA, is a founding General Partner of OrbiMed. Mr. Gordon is active in both private equity and small-capitalization public equity investments. He was a senior biotechnology analyst at Mehta and Isaly from 1995 to 1997. He was a Fellow at The Rockefeller University from 1993 to 1995. Mr. Gordon received a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His doctoral work involved studies of protein folding and assembly. He received a Bachelors degree from Harvard College.

Michael B. Sheffery, Ph.D., is a founding General Partner of OrbiMed. Dr. Sheffery was formerly Head of the Laboratory of Gene Structure and Expression at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He received both his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and his B.A. in Biology from Princeton University. Dr. Sheffery joined Mehta and Isaly in 1996 as a Senior Analyst covering the biotechnology industry.

Jonathan T. Silverstein, J.D., is a General Partner of OrbiMed. Mr. Silverstein joined OrbiMed in 1999 to focus on private equity and structured transactions in small capitalization public biotechnology and medical device companies. Mr. Silverstein was previously a Director of Life Sciences in the Investment Banking Department at Sumitomo Bank. During his tenure at Sumitomo he was in charge of strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions in the biotech sector. Prior to Mr. Silverstein's tenure at Sumitomo Bank, he was an associate at Hambro Resource Development. Mr. Silverstein has a J.D. and an M.B.A. from the University of San Diego, and a B.A. in Economics from Denison University.

W. Carter Neild, CFA, is a General Partner of OrbiMed. Mr. Neild joined OrbiMed in 2002 and has led the firm's expansion into areas such as biopharmaceutical royalty investments and Asia. Mr. Neild was previously Director of the UBS Alternative Investments Group. Prior to his tenure at UBS, he spent four years in the investment management division of First Chicago, now part of J.P. Morgan. Mr. Neild received an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Chicago, a B.A. in Economics from Emory University, and a C.E.P. from the Institute D'Etudes Politiques in Paris. He received the CFA charter in 1995.

Geoffrey C. Hsu, CFA, is a General Partner of OrbiMed. He joined OrbiMed in 2002 as a biotechnology analyst. Prior to joining OrbiMed, he worked as a financial analyst in the healthcare investment banking group at Lehman Brothers. Mr. Hsu received his A.B. degree summa cum laude from Harvard University and holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Prior to business school, he spent two years studying medicine at Harvard Medical School.
