ViewRay’s technology, the Renaissance™ System 1000, promises to be the world’s first radiation therapy device to allow real-time MRI simultaneous with beam-on radiation delivery. This will enable the healthcare professional to know and do what was previously impossible: to understand where the dose actually went in the patient on any given on-couch radiation therapy session, and to gate the beam in real-time based on the actual anatomy of the patient.
